Bilaspur, Saturday, 30 August 2025 – A commemorative publication focusing on the life and contributions of former RSS Vibhag Sanghchalak, late Shri Kashi Nath Gore, was released at the auditorium of Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur. The release was performed by the Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. The program commenced with a sanghik geet and lighting of the lamp before the image of Bharat Mata. Shri Vishwas Jaltade, Secretary of the Souvenir Release Committee, introduced the dignitaries on the dais.

In his address, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that whenever he visited Bilaspur, Shri Kashi Nath Gore was always present. “To say that he was a swayamsevak of the Sangh itself defines his life. As Dr. Hedgewar used to say, the personality of a swayamsevak is such that it naturally attracts others. Meeting Kashi Nath Ji even once would create a bond of warmth. He was like a radiant gem among the noble people of society. He never sought recognition for good work. As Guruji said, in the Sangh, even an ordinary swayamsevak is most important, for after one hour of shakha, the remaining 23 hours of his life are useful for society. The Sangh has grown through the strength of swayamsevaks, and thereby the nation and society have advanced.”

Dr. Bhagwat further emphasized that swayamsevaks cultivate a spirit of belonging in society. “By giving love, a swayamsevak develops pure and noble work. A good swayamsevak is disciplined and dedicated. Whether in society or at home, he helps everyone without being asked. The essence of Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah is reflected in the life of a swayamsevak,” he added.

Quoting the example of Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. Bhagwat said: “Everyone desires such valor, but to achieve it is difficult. In personal life too, balancing family and society is essential. Tana Ji faced the dilemma of whether to safeguard his family or serve society. When one places the interest of nation and society above all, he becomes a true noble force. Those striving continuously to be true swayamsevaks make even their simple lives exemplary and inspiring. Kashi Nath Ji embodied such a true swayamsevak.”

He continued, “Whether entrusted with responsibility or not, Kashi Nath Ji always carried out useful work for society to the best of his ability, without any expectation. Just as a lamp shines in darkness, such noble men light up society. Remembering such dedicated men during the Sangh’s centenary journey is a matter of inspiration. Though Kashi Nath Ji is no longer with us, his glory remains eternal. His contributions will continue to inspire future generations whenever we remember our ancestors.”

Presiding over the event, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, remarked, “Kashi Nath Ji dedicated every moment of his life to the nation. As a swayamsevak, a family man, and a government servant, he set ideals in every role. His entire family engaged in national service, a tradition that continues today. His life instilled in me a deep sense of duty towards society, which guided my own journey.”

The program also witnessed the presence of RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Baudhdhik Pramukh Shri Deepak Vispurte, Madhya Kshetra Pracharak Shri Swapnil Kulkarni, Sah-Kshetra Pracharak Shri Premshankar, Kshetra Samagra Gram Vikas Pramukh Shri Anil Daga, Kshetra Bauddhik Shikshan Pramukh Shri Nagendra, Prant Sanghchalak Dr. Toplal, Chhattisgarh Prant Pracharak Shri Abhay, Vibhag Sanghchalak Shri Rajkumar Sachdev, along with many intellectuals and dignitaries. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Shri Pradeep Sharma, Chairman of the Souvenir Release Committee.
