Raipur, August 28, 2025/ Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today met Jin Sik Yoon, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and Kim Ki Hyun, Vice President, in Seoul. With over 77,000 members, KITA is Asia’s leading trade platform. On this occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024–30, abundant natural resources, and skilled manpower, while discussing possibilities in investment, technology transfer, and skill development.
CM Sai stated, “Our ties with South Korea are not limited to trade but also rooted in cultural and historical bonds. Today’s dialogue will open new avenues of investment, technical cooperation, and skill development between Chhattisgarh and Korea. This will create opportunities for youth in modern industries and accelerate the state’s industrial growth.”
He emphasized that the state government is fully committed to providing investors with a business-friendly environment, quick clearances, and essential infrastructure. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this collaboration with KITA will establish a new global identity for Chhattisgarh in the industrial landscape.
During the meeting, KITA Chairman Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Kim Ki Hyun showed strong interest in Chhattisgarh’s investor-friendly policies and resources. They said Korean companies are excited about exploring opportunities in Chhattisgarh and concrete steps will be taken in the near future.
CM Sai added that this partnership will directly benefit farmers, workers, and local entrepreneurs. Investments in sectors like food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy will create thousands of jobs. Additionally, technology transfer will enhance the quality and competitiveness of local industries.
Highlighting human capital, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is not only rich in natural resources but also has a hardworking and skilled youth population. Collaboration with Korean companies will provide them with new opportunities in skilling and technical training, thereby strengthening the state’s human resource capacity at a global level. This partnership will elevate Chhattisgarh’s economy to new heights and make it a model of self-reliance and global cooperation in the coming years.
