The Vishwakarma Society celebrated the Vishwakarma Prakatotsav with great enthusiasm in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The event was held at Vrindavan Hall, Civil Lines, and witnessed the presence of senior society members, dignitaries, and representatives from various social and cultural organizations.
The chief guest, R.S. Vishwakarma, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Backward Classes Welfare Commission, highlighted the society’s significant contribution to the nation’s progress and emphasized empowering the youth. He stated that education and values play a crucial role in strengthening a community.
The program was presided over by renowned Raipur-based litterateur and member of the Central Hindi Advisory Committee, Dr. Manik Vishwakarma. He said that proper education and ethical upbringing are essential for building a strong and responsible society.
Among the special guests, Prafull Vishwakarma, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Iron and Steel Development Board, discussed government schemes announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and how they benefit the Vishwakarma community.
Lalit Sharma, Advisor to the Chhattisgarh State Biodiversity Board, spoke about the extraordinary works of Lord Vishwakarma and encouraged followers to follow his ideals for the betterment of society.
The event was also graced by Vishwanathan Acharya, member of the National Steering Committee, PM Vishwakarma, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and Milan Vishwakarma. Senior members and office-bearers of the society, including Sitaram Vishwakarma, P.R. Vishwakarma, Kishanlal Vishwakarma, Rajaram Vishwakarma, Manohar Vishwakarma, Sharda Panchal, and others, attended the celebrations in large numbers.
The program began with worship and prayers of Lord Vishwakarma, followed by speeches from dignitaries. The event featured bhajan-satsang and cultural performances, with children and women presenting traditional dances and folk songs that captivated the audience.
During the event, the participants emphasized unity, harmony, and the spirit of social service. At the conclusion, Parsaram Vishwakarma expressed gratitude to all attendees. The society pledged to further promote education, cultural awareness, and social initiatives in the future.
The celebration not only expressed devotion to Lord Vishwakarma but also served as a platform to promote cultural awareness, service, and social harmony within the community.
