Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Tuesday said that Pakistan has been asked to “control” drone intrusions coming from across the border. The issue was raised during the weekly meeting between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries.
Speaking at the Indian Army’s annual press conference, General Dwivedi issued a strong warning, stating that Pakistan’s military leadership had been clearly told to prevent such activities.
Jammu and Kashmir Situation
The Army Chief said that:
The security situation in Jammu and Kashmir remains sensitive
However, it is firmly under control by Indian forces
Drone Sightings Reported
Over the past two days, several drone sightings were reported in border areas:
Rajasthan (Jaisalmer district):
A suspicious drone was spotted on Monday night
It was seen flying over a gas-based thermal power plant
The location is close to the India-Pakistan border
Eyewitnesses said the drone hovered in the area for nearly an hour
Police Action:
Ramgarh police station in-charge Bhutaram Bishnoi confirmed the incident
A probe has been launched
Officials said drone flying is strictly prohibited in the district without prior permission
Jammu and Kashmir Border Alert
Security was also stepped up in Samba district after multiple drones were sighted:
Drones were seen near the Line of Control (LoC)
The sightings occurred in the Naushera–Rajouri sector
The incident took place late Sunday night
Army Takes Counter Measures
According to defence sources:
Indian Army troops activated counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) measures
The drones were forced to return without causing damage
“A few Pakistan Army drones were sighted along the Line of Control. Indian Army troops undertook counter measures, forcing them to return,”

The Indian Army continues to maintain high alert along the western border amid repeated drone sightings, which are seen as a serious security concern.
